NARRATIVE:
PASQUOTANK CO., NC – Two fatalities have been reported in connection to an auto-pedestrian accident near Elizabeth City.
The incident occurred on New Road near John White Road, which is north of Albermarie Sound and the town of Winslow.
Police say that a minivan struck a man and a woman along New Road, killing them at the scene. Authorities have not yet released the names of the victims.
The driver stopped to render aid and speak with officials.
It’s not yet clear what caused the wreck.
